This reflection photograph is posted in response to the weekly photo meme, Weekend Reflection, brought to us by James...Thank You James ;-)
The purpose of this blog is to allow me to share the serenity that photography brings to me. I encourage you to provide feedback of both a critical nature...and complimentary if you are so moved.

View From a Bridge
The photographs below were taken recently on or near the longest pedestrian bridge in the world, The Walnut Street Bridge, located in downtown Chattanooga, TN. It is a favorite spot for me to take photos...so many interesting elements...people in love, structural angles, sunsets...Enjoy...

Two of a Kind
If I were able to do a proper job of "painting" this is the photograph I would use. My photo software does not have this feature, and I was unable to find an online free version...

Mayan Temple
Although I have never seen, first hand, a Mayan Temple Pyramid, something tells me that it might look something like this. Forever seeing the picture in the picture...it is sort of like a photograph that holds the images of parallel universes...

Sepurban
Chattanooga is blessed with some wonderfully restored, turn-of-the-century office buildings. This particular cluster lent itself well to sepia effect.

Scenic City Reflections
My wife and I recently spent an early Sunday evening wandering the somewhat vacant streets of our downtown area in Chattanooga(often called The Scenic City). I was especially interested in reflection opportunities and found a number of very interesting subjects. This particular photo shows the reflection created by the smooth finish of the marble or granite on the side of this bldg. The thing that strikes me the most is how it makes it look like an old photograph. I hope you enjoy it...Peace and blessings
Eye To Eye
This shot, taken through my fish-eye lens, has become a sentimental favorite of mine. I hope you like it too...Peace

Hummingbirds in Sepia
Welcome to my new blog Photo Serene. This is where I will post new photographs and speak a bit about the whys and wherefores of my photography.
I am an amateur photographer, yet I am not fearful of exploring new techniques and camera settings. My desire is to try all photographic genres and styles, all the while keeping a keen eye to lighting and composition. I am not a painter, so I am trying to be creative with my photography...perhaps I can paint with my lens ;-)
I am an amateur birder...birds are a favorite subject in my photography. I have just started this summer to try and photograph Hummingbirds. These photographs are some of my first attempts to capture them in flight. The equipment used: Nikon D-80; Sigma 50-500mm lens; 1/250 - 1/640 Shutter Speed; f 6.0-6.3
Namaste
