Scenic City Reflections

My wife and I recently spent an early Sunday evening wandering the somewhat vacant streets of our downtown area in Chattanooga(often called The Scenic City). I was especially interested in reflection opportunities and found a number of very interesting subjects. This particular photo shows the reflection created by the smooth finish of the marble or granite on the side of this bldg. The thing that strikes me the most is how it makes it look like an old photograph. I hope you enjoy it...Peace and blessings

  1. Very interesting how the granite of the building re-invents the colouring of the reflection!

  2. Great capture for the day and I agree with Gemma about how the granite re-invents the coloring of the reflection! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  4. The effect does work to make the photo appear old. Good eye.

  5. That is really an excellent find. It's amazing how it does create an aged appearing photo!

  6. You are making me want to find a marble0-sided building to see what effect I might get. It does have a vintage look.

  7. Great capture Jeff. It took me a second to process what I was seeing. I love the vintage effect it gives! Kat

  8. I like the colours in your image. Soft colours but very strong subject.

  9. Very smooth. I like that you included the light - it draws youe eye upwards and makes you rethink what you are seeing.

  10. O_o

It just look like the ghost of a building, this reflection... Fuzzy as a dream... (Or a nightmare, if you don't like cities, like me ^^ )... A strong sensation reenforced by the choice of the sepia

I like the framing too, with the lamp in the left up corner, that bring back to hard reality.

Great shot, thanks for the sharing
